PostSubject: Mimi has a lump near her ear (pics of wounds, not pleasant)   Sun Aug 02, 2009 12:51 am

Mimi has been scratching her ear yesterday and today. We noticed not long ago she has a lump next to her ear and the fur around it is all wet.

Now its bigger and her face is swollen on that side too. Its really wet and red and bothering her loads, shes cocking her head alot and scratching and whining a bit too. She cant settle either.

Any ideas? Gonna phone the vets tomorrow and see what they say. Hopefully its nothing too serious, some kind of abscess or something, it looks like.

 poor girl, she could of been bitten twice by a horse fly or something and caused infection, they look quite nasty

Will do. Theyve just been flea'd too, so hopefully its nothing too serious. Will get her in tomorrow.

We've been out this afternoon and left her in on her own, she seems happier than when we left

Aww no worries, we not long got back, forgot how far it was!!

Just had a though, that patch on her back isnt a lump but it looks really red and sore and its wet. Its massive now too and shes lost fur around it. Will get another pic in a sec, its got worse since I took those other earlier Thats where I put her flea stuff on saturday afternoon. I used some spot on stuff that we havent used before. Wonder if its that?

The lump on her ear looks a lot better, the swelling around it has gone and its not red anymore but its still there. I think its drying out too.

Its in the same place and the others are fine Mimi gets really bad dandruff if I feed her the wrong food too. Think her skin is a bit delicate anyway.

Yeah, we walked and stopped off at the little park at Chester Green on the way back, the dogs had a plastic bag as a makeshift bowl cos they wouldnt drink from the bottle we brought!!

    Oh the poor love
Could it be a hot spot?
BB used to suffer with them.. one minute they were tiny the next it was huge
It looks quite similar to what BBs looked like
Hope she feels better soon
