| i am having a problem with both mindy and tammy, when we are doing heelwork they tend to walk that close with their heads more around my thighs and trip me up, does anyone have any advice how to stop them doing this, thanks |

| Fazza may be able to help you with this.
I have Bryn rubbing his head into my legs sometimes, with him though I think it's when he knows he is coming off the lead soon, not sure though. |

| how do you train the heelwork as something you are doing has produced this. do you reward with trats or toys?
sorry bout the q its so i can get a good idea of how to help lol
what i would teach them is the min their heads lift up and look at you reward that instant then they will learn this is how they get the reward
another way to correct is back to basics either teach a touch command on the palm of your hand so that eventualy you have the dog sat next to you and his nose touching your palm so when you walk you place him. does this make sence lol
another way is get a treat let them nibble at it and teach them the correct postion you want them in.
i have a old training vid of mine that shows me training this hun if it may help |

| i started doing training by holding treats in my hand so pup would follow , but i soon got to find out treats didn't work so went on to ball on a rope, i think all i really need is for their heads to be higher and not bloody wrapped round me :san42: |
