MORE INFORMATION SOON
A LETTER HAS BEEN SENT TO GSD BREED CLUBS
In my opinion this letter appears to have been formulated in order to
OBTAIN "COMPLIANCE"
BY THE "GSD BREED COUNCIL"
WITH THE KENNEL CLUB
"ACCREDITED BREEDERS SCHEME"
Which in my firm opinion is seriously flawed
Question: Has there been any 'co-operation' by the
GSD Partnership in the formulation of this letter?
note: "the timing of this letter is very suspect"
The GSD fraternity should INSIST on a
GSD ACCREDITED DOG SCHEME

| What do the majority of GSD breeders want for the health of this breed
1 the mandatory x-ray and scoring of hips elbows
2, mandatory haemophilia testing of all males (stud)
3,a proper DNA test for parentage
4,a breed survey of class 1 or 2
5,The right name for our breed German Shepherd Dog
6,the proper breed standard as laid down by the SV, WUSV, and the FCI
What does the KC want for the health of this breed none of the above all it wants is your money and your compliance not to double handle your dog they put more impetus on not double handing than they do on the health and welfare of our dogs
They will never go for mandatory health testing because it will effect their bank balance but they will spend time and money to stop you from calling your dog while it is in the ring the only sport in the world where you are not allowed to cheer

| Basically Karen.
You can become an acredited breeder with kc for £17 so B.S.B and Puppy farmers can pay this and get acredited staus without health checks being done and joe public think they get a good breeder.
The GSD want it to be compulsery for health checks listed above before anyone can be given accredited breeder status.( 2 tier registration)
Hence Videx going on about the GSD breaking away from kc and have our own scheme
These gsds would no longer be kc registered but could be registered in germany (sv) or Ireland just some of the ideas going about |

| I read this last night and it has become a slanging match and to be frank a lot of people think dp is a joke in what he wants, for one the english side and the longcoat people wont agree with what he wonts to do, the k.c are trying to stop the double handling so all will end up suffering for the germanic side,im glad i stop showing at champshows years ago if this is how the show world is going, just my opinion |
