PostSubject: Mickeys Training   Sat Jul 18, 2009 10:49 pm

Took Mickey training on Wednesday and had a total nightmare : We walked in and he was fine for the first 5 minutes then the airdale terrier started barking at the bulldog Well then Mickey joined in and he totally lost it for the rest of the night :

He was really going off on one and it wasnt a nice sight He can be a nasty little sod when he gets worked up :ezcs: I think he was frightened because there was nowhere for him to go Dogs either side of me a few paces between us and dogs opposite :thatsucks:

Ive emailed Mo about his behaviour and am gonna stick to the outdoor training with them I was hoping to go over last Thursday but never got there because of the rain
Ive told the other trainers i wont be taking Mickey back as its too stressful for him and my nerves wont stand it either :qa1: I think it will make him even worse with other dogs if i carried on going

On a better note he does seem to have quietened down a bit since he has been put back on just RAW diet

I do prefer the outdoor training I like the fact that Zep will take your dog off you if your struggling and carry on with the others while you watch

Amazing how the little shit behaves when Zep has him

Mickey is so much better being trained by a man Mo has told me to be harder on him as im letting him take the piss too much He does play me up :naaa: I do find it hard because im always wary of him because i dont know how he was treated by the previous owners He is a big dog and can be quite explosive Ive started being a bit harder this week so hopefully he will get the message

My OH says i should be able to do it because i scare the crap out of everyone else

:2431: he prob senses that your wary of him hun, and this is why he plays up with you  ... you havent had him long, it takes time to rehabilitate a dog hun...and you have to train yourself too

Nico's first traing class was indoors & it was a waste of time because the other dogs were all so close he was more interested in them than me.

He was much much better at Zeps.

I think the class he was in had too many explosive male dogs in it

Keiras class at the same place is fine Mind you she loves everyone :san15:
