| For those who may notice allergies in their dogs, with or without paw licking, this site may help http://www.pawlicking.com/home.html
I have noticed Ellie has developed a little rash, so I am reading up on things and thought this site useful. |

| Well he used to get steroid injections and ear drops but i wasnt too happy about him having constant steroids as i worry about side effects. I had him on thornit and he was a lot better but dont know if his body just got used to it as then it came back.He had a steroid injection about 5 weeks ago and i give him an antihistamine tablet every day,so far he is fine(touch wood)I do have to clean his ears a lot, sometimes every day and i put ear drops in a few times a week. _________________ |

| Thanks hun, what antihistamine tablet do you use and where do you get it from? I want to find out (obviously) what is causing Ellie's problem, but if I can't maybe the tab will help her.
My family seem to think it's the heat causing it at the moment, but I really don't know, I have put her on RAW, hopefully I will see an improvement on her but who knows with these things, Bev has is having big problems with one of her poor boys. |

| Update on Ellie
I read a few interesting things on the net, one is that chicken can be tricky for some dogs, so I have put her on a non chicken diet, my friend who used to breed Rough Collies said to give her some Vit C as it can really help with skin complaints, which I have done ...................................... And guess what... :2879: the allergy has gone she has a few scabs left, I am so pleased, whatever caused it. I will just have to try and find out if it's the chicken or the Vit C that was the prob, but there is time for that |

| Great news  If BB has chicken based food... he starts to self mutilate but is fine with duck, salmon or fish based foods |
