lol awwwwwwww sorry hun... i was meant to make a post a good while ago ... then i just forgot and then presumed everyone knew :2431: ....

a couple of months ago betty went to live with a soldier called george at catterick barracks... it was a very hard decision at the time and not one we made lightly .... she had 1 too many fights with fred, where she drew blood, and when i went to split them up fred backed off, betty didnt... to cut a long story short, fred was getting stressed, and he was a ticking time bomb... betty also bit nicole and went to bite tia in different situations... i thought i had stopped her doing that when we first got her but i obvioulsy hadnt... we had to think of the children first and unfortunatey the desicion was made and we couldnt have made a better one, for bettys sake.... betty is doing what she does best, working and exercising... she's out for hours each day, goes camping... goes to the pub and goes to work to visit all her squadie mates lol... my OH sees her quite often, ive seen little video clips of her, and the transformation is amazing... she is whistle trained, no longer needs a lead and looks really relaxed, her new owner george loves her to bits, and even his ex-wife has taken a shine to her, and goes to collect her if george has to do a double shift, she has collie dogs too, so they all go out together..

i should have made a thread earlier, but at the time it was to upsetting then i just forgot

but it sounds like she is having a great life. :love: :love:

it still does upset me sometimes jan... i could never give her the life she has now... its great that shes happy, i only wish she could have been that happy here :love: ...and the OH gets to see her quite a bit, so thats good... fred was a different dog the minute she left, he was more relaxed and not as stressed out.... i should hopefully see betty later in the year... ive refused to until now, incase i get too upset....

I think some dogs enjoy being the only pet I think Hazel would prefer to be the only dog, not that she ever has been, but she is not one to mix with other dogs, she prefers people, if she is on her own with one of us, you can see she is more relaxed and chilled, we are just lucky that Hazel has no aggression to other dogs or we would have problems as well Shell, she does kind of tell them off now and then, but they just don't respond, so as I say we are lucky

Can imagine how upsetting it is for you hun :love: I would be the same

yea Rostam would do a LOT better in a one dog home or with just another bitch i wont get another male whilst i have him as they will end up trying to kill each other :2431:

we have to put our feelings aside and do what is best for the dogs some times. as a BC owner and someone who trains a LOT of them due to where we live i have to say a lot dont do well in town situations. its like they are clostaphobic *sp* and it freaks them out :love:

betty also used to panic when she was surrounded by too many people... we took her to donington market with us once... we had to go put her in the car... she was going crazy... shes doing very well in the country though...and shes not crated at night time.... shes found her way to the bottom of georges bed :2431: ...
