| my mums just told me about this im in utter shock having trained with GMP i know how great their dog vans ect with the air con ect and how much they actually DO value their dogs, so for this to happen is a disgrace and i hope the officer gets the book thrown at him!!! |

| just to think what the poor dogs must have gone through tho it doesnt bare thinking about does it :Angry:
im having to leave my dogs all day at hoe whilst im out and about which i hate but im not risking them over heating even for a second |

| we have to remember tho it wasnt "the police" so to speak it was one dog handler yes he should have known sooo much better but we cannot blame the police for this
he should however have the book thrown at him |

| no i know what you mean shelley but the problem now will be that the police will be getting it in the neck and a lot of ppl will start to belive all dog handlers are like this which is NOT true thats all i ment lol |

They weren't in a dog van Fazz. They were the officers own private car.
I just dont understand this personally. There cannot be one driver who hasnt got back into his car on a hot day and not been shocked at how unbearable it is.
I remember some years seeing two retrievers locked in a car on a supermarket car park on a very sunny day. They were panting & obviously in distress. I asked the customer services staff to put out an announcement which they did. Apparently nobody went back to the car so they called the police (oh the irony!!) and they broke into the car to get them out thereby saving their lives.
Why is the human race so f***ing arrogant & dismissive of the needs of animals?  |
