i have just read your message on june 29th how did your training go was it sucsesful .my dog has real issues with lunging at cars and pulling and aggresion .i know most of it if not all of it is my fault as i havnt taken her to puppy classes or socialised her with dogs or people except us ad i would love to have her be able to go out for a wak more often now iget up at 5.45am to take for a run on field as i no there is no one else on at that time . then she gos out late when no one else is out .

hi trish.... the results were amazing, as i knew they would be zep is a very competent trainer... the hard part however is training the owner to keep up with what the dog has learnt lol..luckily this time it was a light bulb gone of in my head and we just clicked.... hes a pleasure to walk now, were out for 2 - 3 hours a day... he rarely acknowledges the cat..... we are still sorting the problem of barking at other dogs when onlead..but this is a mere blip and were getting there...

PostSubject: of for training   Thu Sep 24, 2009 7:40 pm

thats brill news .i had a trainer come to my house for tanya and it cost £45.00 for hour n half and tanya behaved all the time and soon as she went tanya was as normal i was going to take her to a trainer but he said i had to put a baskaville muzzel on her before he would see her so i didnt go she is 13mths now and i feel i left it too late and this is they way it will be as i am running out of things to try .i have bought loads of collers dogmatic which i sent back thought it was rubbish . halters .harnesses . she just too powerful for me .
she will train i now let her of on field and she comes back when called . she will sit .stay. down . wait . but not on the lead

13 mths isnt too late :nhy: its never too late.... you just need to find someone suitable to guide you... the reason she behaved when the trainer came to your house is because the trainer knew exactly what she was doing .... its never the dog who needs training, its always the owner :2431: ....

i found a dogmatic was very useful... it helped me to control fred without it riding up int his eyes and hurting him....

keep percevering*sp* and you will get there, just find a trainer that you click with... and one that will train you as well as the dog lol
