Everyone should take great care when cutting a dogs nails, and if you are not confident, it should be left to a proffesional groomer or vets, however, accidents can happen, if your dogs nail starts bleeding a useful way to stop it, is to drag the nail through a bar of soap, if the nail is very bad though vertanary attention should be a priority.

    Good advice Sandra :-)
When I cut their nails I stand over the dog at cuts with the backside of the nail facing me.. Than you see where to cut... (have the dog between my legs)

But if it is dogs tht hate to get their nailes cut...and do everything to get away... I would go to the vet and let him do it

Must admit i've never cut my dogs nails,i've never felt confident enough
so its left to the vet.
