Picked up this little guy on Monday. I don't think he had ever been groomed or bathed. He coat was matted and smelly, and his skin condition very bad. The lady I collected him from said she didn't have the time or inclination to do anything with him

OMG.. looking at that poor little chap bought tears to my eyes  my mother would give anything to have a little dog like him, but shes unable to house one at the minute... then theres people out there who let that happen to their animals... why???

Only had this guy over night, and then he went off to a long term foster home. Lady fell in love with him though, have a feeling by the time she has nursed him back to health he won't be going anywhere.

I do wonder why people sit back and let this happen. If you haven't got the time or can't be bothered find someone who is, for the dog's sake. Felt so sorry for the little guy. He wouldn't let anyone touch him, for the first day or so, but his foster mom managed to bath him last night so that's great news.

I'm surprised how many people aren't prosecuted Karen. There's always an excuse... "it wasn't my dog, was my husbands and he's left", "wasn't my dog, just dumped on me following the death of a relative", "wasn't my dog I found him"

I've picked a couple up hearing the reason for rehoming as the credit crunch, having to move, can't afford to feed, etc, etc. I know some of these are using this excuse to get rid of an older dog. Knock their door in a fortnight and you'll hear the pitter patter of tiny puppy paws I'm sure.

Sad world we live in... very sad!
