I got 2 of them, one for my other tank and Fluval 3 for this tank, I think they are great Shell, I was the filter through in the dirty tank water I have taken out every 2nd week, the shit that comes out is amazing :san41: don't wash it under the tap so I have been told because you will need some of the bad bacteria in it, Kenny will explain, but I have always rinsed it in the water I take out and never had a prob.

i read that sange, its says the first time you us it to wash it in tap water before you put it in the tank, then after that wash it in tank water to retain the bacteria....

as stupid as it sounds the fish look better all ready theyre not lifelessly floating around, theyre swimming lol...

my brother says this will get rid of all the shit the fantails produce ...fingers crossed hes right :2431:

I also think it's nice they have to swim against the waves in ccertain parts of the tank, my cory's seem to play with the waves now and then, they swim up the side of the tank into the wave and get rushed around in it and do it all again :2445:

hope it works out ok shelley wait until u see the flow dropping before u clean (i always had 2 filters in show tank)to clean 1 completly every 2 weeks.
as u only use one u can clean in tank water to retain some bacteria or u could half the sponge and clean one half and alter clean half to bottom when ever u need to clean. that way u always have bacteria in filter and u can clean one half completly, it will take a bit off time for filter to start working to cover the bacteria level of fish in tank so dont add any fish for a bit yet and do another water check to see what difference it has made
