..........Im enjoying the moment while it lasts!!

I took Marley back to dog training club today,he hasnt been since 12th December with one thing or the other. I asked Brian if I could take him to silver class just to ease him in gently and as Ed is good with him with the photography I knew this wouldnt be a problem. We went for the 10.30 class which was split in 2 as one half were doing their silver award the class we were in had just passed their bronze award and Im so pleased I did it as it showed me just how far advanced and well behaved Marley was compared to the other younger dogs. Georgina the sliver trainer used Marley to demonstrate what would be expected of the dogs to get through their silver and Marley stepped up to the mark and behaved perfectly, his heelwork was fantastic and I'm sure the dogmatic has helped with that (he didnt have it on for class) it was a really enjoyable hour as everyone was in awe of everything that he did. Georgina told them all Marleys faults and the blood sweat and tears that I've had to get him to this stage and she respected me for not giving up and working had with him which I didnt mind as it gave everyone the encouragement not to give up. Someone did ask why Marley was doing the silver class and why I hadnt been for 4 months (you always get 1!!!) Georgina explained about Marleys poisoning and that I also hadnt been well and that Marley would be doing silver for a few weeks then he would be going back to gold class where he rightfully belonged.
There was a dog in class that was very dog aggressive ( he was a rescue) and had a soft muzzle on for the class but by the end of the class he was wagging his tail and sniffing at Marley no problems, his owner was really pleased.
So Im sorry to go on, I know I bleat on at times that Marley is a bad lad but today has shown me just how good he can be and just how excellent he could be with a bit more hard work!

Isn't it wonderful when they reward you with good behaviour, I also think it does give huge encouragement to everyone who's dog is misbehaving, they can see there is light at the end of the tunnel

Sometimes you dont notice how far they are progressing with the training until you see them with other dogs

I was like this with Keira I thought i was getting nowhere fast but i can see she is actually quite good and improving all the time
