| So after a good week and a great day yesterday, indie had to go and spoil it all took him out today for a run and on the way home i met a guy who has a gsd same age as indie, well the dog came towards him on a long lead and it was barking and whining with excitement, anyway as it got closer indie went to lunge at it snarling,i was totally shocked as he hasnt shown aggression before,so now i'm wondering did he see the other dog as a threat to himself or was he protecting me,he is never like this with other dogs when off lead, anyway not sure how to deal with this as obviously i cant let him behave like this,so any advice would be welcome,....FARRAAAAHHHH,HELP. :2431: _________________ |

Well he's already at 50kg so i need to be able to control him,i've noticed in the house he always lies by my feet wherever i am and sometimes if the other two approach me just for a cuddle or a stroke he doesnt like it and tries to block them he seems to be very possessive of me. :2431:_________________ |

Axlw was gettin above his station a week or so ago and we increased his ob and ignored him it has been working so far . he is the same if i was clapping Xena he would come over and try to nudge her away.He is now put in down stay and xena is shouted over when ever he try's this now he getting the message slowly that he can now only do things when i allow |

| i would teach him to be a lil more independent hun as he seems to be claiming you a lil my lad can be that way but will attack malis are extreme lol
altho the other dog may only have wanted to play if he was leaping round like a nutter it may have upset indie i would still correct indie wen he does this tho hun xx |

 you have me thinking now Jan.
Bryn is exactly the same, he has to be as close to me as possible, where I go he follows, when I am on the laptop he goes to sleep under my legs etc. he moans when I cuddle the others, I ignore it, if he blocks them I push my arm into his chest to edge him away. I never thought of it as possessiveness, I thought jealous little bugger, I will pay more attention to it now (especially with the little pup coming) |

| I think its probably a lot to do with his age too,at 14 months he's not a baby anymore but not quite an adult,he's pushing the bounderies a bit just gonna be really firm with him now and hope that works as his nature is lovely.  _________________ |

| :2445: they all sound like Bailey, he's my shadow constantly and hates it when i show attention to the other 2, not hates it aggresivly, but nudges them away and makes a whiney noise. like Indie, he has a wonderful nature and i'd hate for him to change the way he is if i where to be more firm with him.. if you get what i mean  _________________ "My sunshine doesn't come from the skies, it comes from the love in my dogs eyes."
