| Nine dogs stolen in kennel raid
Pet owners are advised to be on their guard after thieves snatched nine dogs from a barn in Berkshire.
The raiders pounced after gaining access to kennels within a barn in Wooley, near Newbury.
They
made off with three adult Patterdale terriers, one lurcher bitch and
five Patterdale puppies, which sell for about £300 each.
A green Suzuki Vitara jeep was seen in the area on Monday evening. Police are appealing for witnesses.

Con Jackie Murdock, of Thames Valley Police Dogwatch, said: "This is an
isolated incident, but we would like to remind animal owners to remain
vigilant, especially if they keep their animals away from the house.
"In
this case, the puppies are very young and they need to be with their
mother, it is important they are returned to their owners."
