PostSubject: dog bite   Thu Mar 19, 2009 7:45 pm

im watching ''the real ER'' on home and health and a man has just come in with a dog bite, he was bitten by a german shepherd when his dog was fighting with it, it didnt say what sort of dog he had, i should imagine it was a snappy trouble causing little terrier!!

then the programme went on to tell us about how they had devised a programme about how to treat dog bites, for eg, they dont stitch dog bites up unless they are on the face... the reason being, it avoids infection or something to that efect, and the reason for stirtchin the face to stop scarring....

what was most annying is, when they were talking about dog bites and treatment, they showed a few dogs as examples... a gsd, rottweiler and an akita.. all typical ''dangerous looking dogs''....its no wonder people fear these dogs and they get a bad reputation!!
