PostSubject: who do i report too?   Wed Mar 04, 2009 3:43 pm

as you all may remember, i told you a while ago about my nephew who has a pitbull cross.... over the past few weeks i have had more to do with it, and the more i see, the more i feel its a disaster waitin to happen...
it is constantly mouthing and biting/nipping at people.... its done it to both my kids, and they are both now scared of it!

it has so many people shouting and pushing it around all the time, hes like a ticking time bomb waiting to go off!!

who is the best people for me to report it too, i want it gone before somebody, especially my kids is hurt....

i need to find my sister in laws house number first though lol... not even my OH knows it :2431:

tbh sandra, i am sick to death of telling them how they should solve the biting, or even how to handle the dog and what to do or not to do etc etc.... they do not listen, they think im talking rubbish... obvioulsy all what i tell them is what i learn from you guys...

my OH even get infuriated with them, he can see what im saying is making sense, but they look at me as if im talking shit!!.... it was his idea to report the dog!!

bloody idiots is putting it mildly!!

i may give the dog warden a ring then.... theyve had people sniffing around all ready about the dog, so now they take him everywhere with them, and if they cant do that, hes kept in the shed!!

I know people who will help no questions asked if you'd like I can get them to get in touch with you to see how the situation is going and then they could take it from there

rescue people they deal with pitbull and pitbull crosses only and have quite a good setup near me they have worked wonders on quite a few of the mixes I have gone up there and they are super people very quiet and calm, if you want him out and want noone to know they will step in and deal with it.

hmmm this sounds ideal, i will talk to the OH later and see what he says about this...and of course he will have to get his sisters adress first lol....

hes a pit bull crossed with i think a whippet.... hes lovely looking, but absolutely no manners in the house at all and no idea how to interact with humans properly, the first time i met him, he jumped up and went to bite/nip my chin!!

he is an intelligent dog, and with the right owners he will do great... he just isnt getting the right guidance! ...

if one person tells him off, they all do.... one minute hes not allowed any cuddles because hes a working dog and then the next day hes allowed cuddles...

youre right its all very confusing for him!!

sorry ems, i had to do dinner.... well, he calls him a working dog, he uses him to hunt with.... deer, rabbit...whatever they are after killing..... i do know that the dog, who is called trigger, has participated in killing a deer with another dog!!
he is not yet 2yrs old,and my nephew remarked last week that his bites are getting stronger!!!!!
i have seen him with other family dogs and he has been fine, but apparantly he is not good with cats, obviously.

he is kept mainly outside in a shed or kennel if they are at home.
