It's not only me being lazy, it's cheaper and very handy.

Whenever your making any type of food like curry, spag ball, chilli, even some gravy.

Make as much as you can in one go.

Time mking them so you will be using all your old veg up before it goes off.

Blend down as much veg as you can and just through it in the sauce, it will thicken it, full of goodness and you can freeze it so you have a night off or two a week from cooking, it also makes the dish go a lot further.

I always make double the amount of bolognaise sauce and chilli when I make it and freeze half but I am very guilty of buying food and wasting it

With me not being well I did an online Sainsburys shop which was delivered yesterday and I was really disgusted with myself for how much I actually threw out of the fridge before the stuff was delivered.

I mainly shop online Jude, only because it would cost the same in petrol to get to a decent size store to buy everything, and saves me hours getting annoyed with shoppers, I try not to throw stuff out but I admit I do :cccc:

My leftovers go to the dogs too. I always do a bit of extra veg for the dogs, they love a bit mixed in their food with gravy. We dont generally throw much out at all.

If I do a spag bol or shepherds pie, I make it so the bit leftover is just enough for Joe the next day with some smiles or something.

Fair play to everyone who freezes stuff, I've never done it and thrown loads away in the past before I had kids :2431:
