| http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/magazine/7906507.stm?lss Joe watches this woman and not once has he ever mentioned her arm, he doesnt think anything of it at all. "But a minority of parents expressed concern that Ms Burnell's appearance was "scaring" children. One father said he feared it would give his daughter nightmares and a mother said her two-year-old girl could not watch because she thought the presenter had been hurt." |

| IMO I think children that come across disabilities from a young age and have things explained to them accept people with disabilities when they are adults, I ahve found that anyway, I think its those that are in the "minority" in that report that dont sit their children down and talk to them that cause the problems for those kids!! Much respect to the BBC for employing her!!
It really makes my Pee boil!! _________________ |

| theres nothing wrong with the presenter, its the ignorant parents who obviously have shit parenting skills and have no idea or inclination to sit the child down and explain it to them
my OH has a friend, and ex squaddie who only has one leg, and because he lost it from the hip he cant wear a false one, tia was inquisitive when she was younger we explained it to her, and now she doesnt even notice things like that!!
this really makes me angry  _________________ ~The dog is a gentleman! I hope to go to his heaven, not man's~ |
